The Prospex SPB297J1 with, its blue dial, is inspired by the first underwater watch Seiko of 1965, which confirmed its reliability when it was chosen by members of the japanese expedition of antarctic research from 1966 to 1969. This watch is powered by the proven 6R35 caliber and offers a 70-hour power reserve. Waterproof up to 200 meters, it is presented on a steel bracelet with extensions and secure closures. Its case has an ultra durable coating and a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface to ensure a great readability from all angles. The twelve indices are generously covered with Lumibrite, as well as hands to maximize readability in the dark.
